Passing the winter solstice brings us to the New Year. While 2020 was a tough one, the coming year, 2021, will also present challenges.  Our club, recognizing the special hardship this national pandemic issue is having on many of those facing ecomonic uncertainty, has continued to support our local organizations who are working to provide help to women and children at risk in our community.

Welcome to Soroptimist International of Centre County. Our mission is to improve the lives of women and their children, in our local community and throughout the world.

Challenging Times - Ongoing commitment to our mission

Our club faces challenges with holding fundraising events at this time, but we've been able to fund the Live Your Dream scholarships for three women in our area and provide support and gift cards to organizations who are helping women and children at risk in our community.  We continue to look for ways to provide support and will let our creativity point us to new ways to raise funds until we can return to our typical fundraisers.

Live Your Dream Scholarships

We have selected several deserving women, heads of household, who are working to improve the lives of their families by obtaining additional education or training for this year's awards.  These awards were competitive and the winners will be contacted soon.  Congratulations!
